Black mothers and babies are dying at disproportionate rates across the country. It’s a problem that has gotten worse in the past few decades. Numbers from the World Health Organization show that maternal mortality rates more than doubled in the US from 1990 to 2013. ncIMPACT explores local solutions that are working to give black mothers a voice.

There are 13 purposes in the Charities Act, but the Commission specifically defines what activity is deemed to be charitable; not all is. It's something the Commission takes very seriously, so you need to take care in drafting these. This video explains why charity objects are important and what you need to do.

The Farmer to Farmer program, run by the North Carolina Agromedicine Institute, is a peer support program that has seen success in connecting farmers with mental health resources.
